Stien Smakman recently graduated from the Leiden Instrument Makers School as a research instrument maker. During her studies, she gained extensive experience working with technical machines such as lathes and milling machines, and developed solid proficiency in using Inventor, which she finds incredibly engaging. Her education emphasized precision work and the use of advanced tools and techniques, enabling her to solve complex technical problems and create detailed technical drawings.
At Onnes Technologies, Stien contributes as a Junior Instrument Maker to various projects, including the assembly of Cryogenic Nanopositioners and other products manufactured in the workshop. She is skilled in devising innovative solutions that streamline the assembly process, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
In her free time, Stien is passionate about 3D printing and dedicates considerable time to this hobby at home. She also has a deep love for music and enjoys attending concerts.
